Pioneer Valley Cohousing

Posted on Posted in Cohousing

Completed in 1994, Pioneer Valley Cohousing is the first cohousing community in the eastern United States. The 32 homes and common house are clustered on 6 acres within a 23-acre site, and were designed to balance ecological sustainability, affordability, and a healthful interior environment. I was one of a team of architects, in collaboration with Peter Kitchen and Bill Austin. This is also my home community, where I have been living the joys of cohousing for the past two dozen years.
